Why is the donation the same amount as last year?
The donations received from camp are used for the benefit of the Musallah. These donations cover the cost of camp (rental, food, supplies, power…) and they are essential to cover the cost of Winter Dawrah which is free for all attendees.
Why should I register to attend camp before the first day? Can I just show up and register?
Yes, but registering helps with planning how much is need for food, setup of tables chairs and chairs, bathroom supplies, and activities. We ask that EVERYONE registers as soon as possible.
Where will the classes be held?
Classes will be in a large canopy-style tent. You may bring your own chair/blankets to sit, and we will also utilize some of the park’s seating and bring some from the AICP Center.
Are there any cabins at the park?
No, this park does not have any cabins but there is a dedicated breathtaking campsite for tents (bring your tent.) Nearby hotels are available with affordable rates. We negotiated a group rate for $90/night. Reserve a room on the registration page. For your convenience, we will install a large canopy to cover the tenting area.
Where would I sleep?
With its close proximity to Philadelphia, there are many choices for accommodations in and around the city: hotels, house rentals, or other options.
Tenting is available next to the site we will use for our classes. The tenting area requires that you bring your own tent. For your convenience, we will install a large canopy to cover the tenting area.
How do I reserve a DISCOUNTED Hotel Room?
AICP negotiated a discounted group rate of $90/night with Quality Inn & Suites in West Chester, PA (9 miles west of camp.) We recommend, if doable, finding roommates to reduce the cost. To reserve a hotel room, call the hotel at (610) 692-1900 and request the AICP GROUP RATE. Quality Inn & Suites: 943 South High Street, West Chester, PA, 19382, US
What can I bring to the event?
Chairs, toys and activities for your children, snacks, and any other usual items you may want to make your day outdoors more enjoyable…. and your good intention. We are planning many fun activities, please check the activities page for details. As usual, we will have a store with snacks, drinks, and Islamic items.
What’s the plan for meals?
AICP is working hard to plan delicious and nutritious meals for everyone. As usual, your paid camp fees include 3 daily meals. We would like to point out that there will not be on-site storage availability for any personal food or drinks.
What’s the bathroom situation?
There are regular flush-toilet bathrooms on site, but there are no showers for the people staying at the tent site. Please contact us if you have concerns pertaining to this issue.
Will there be a kids program this year?
Yes. A fun and educational kids program is available during lectures. There will be a donation fee for the kids program.
